The Seruya Archive brings together materials collected by the ethnographer Seruya during her long-term study of the people of Wafuranki. Comprising field notes, objects, photographs, recordings and institutional documents, the archive is presented as an active site of research rather than a finished exhibition.
Visitors are invited to examine its holdings, draw their own connections and encounter a world whose boundaries between documentation, interpretation and belief remain intentionally unresolved.

“Since discovering the Wafuranki, I have been documenting their habits, objects, customs and various ways of organising themselves. What began as a few observations has developed into a considerable archive of field notes, photographs, objects, recordings and other evidence. I have formed certain conclusions. You are welcome to examine the material and form your own.”
— Seruya, Kenyan ethnographer currently living amongst and studying the Wafuranki
